The smallest active C-terminal fragment (Lys-Pro-Val) of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone, studied for anti-inflammatory activity that research indicates is independent of the melanocortin-receptor pigmentation pathway — meaning it is studied without the tanning/pigmentation effects associated with full-length melanocortin agonists like Melanotan II.
